The Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom – Minia University organized on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, a national symposium entitled “October: A Renewed Giving”, in celebration of the glorious October War Victory.
The event commenced with the Egyptian national anthem, followed by a welcome address from Prof. Mostafa Bayoumi Abdel-Salam, Dean of the Faculty, who warmly greeted the guest speaker, Prof. Mohamed El-Gendy, along with the faculty members, staff, and students.
In his speech, the Dean extended his heartfelt greetings and deep respect to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, on the occasion of the anniversary of the October Victory. He also expressed his appreciation to the University President for his continued support of such national events that foster patriotism, loyalty, and belonging among students.
Prof. Bayoumi emphasized that the October Victory is not merely a historical memory, but a living value that continually inspires determination, perseverance, and hard work for the progress of the nation, instilling in generations the true meanings of sacrifice and devotion.
The symposium, moderated by Dr. Ahmed El-Laithy, featured an insightful lecture by Prof. Mohamed El-Gendy, who discussed the heroic stories and enduring lessons of the October War. The event also included a poetry performance by students reciting patriotic verses in love of Egypt.
Additionally, outstanding students were honored for winning the Qur’an Recitation Competition and the Scientific Research Contest, both held under the theme “October: A Renewed Giving.”
The celebration was attended by Prof. Ghada Mohamed Abdel-Rahim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, along with a large number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and students. The event reflected strong national pride and deep appreciation for the spirit of October, which continues to inspire generations of university students.
